Henna Art

Henna is used as the traditional body art of India, Africa and the Arabian countries. Henna is the paste of the henna tree leaves called “Hawsonia inermis”, which is now also available in the dry powder foam as well. It’s also known as Mehendi. Tealeaves and coffee seeds can also mixed with henna to enhance the color and longevity of henna design. Henna powder is green in color while leaves red colored design after washing the hands. It is also used to cool the skin and to make the hairs naturally red colored.

After making a paste of henna powder with the help of boiled tea or coffee water then you may fill this paste in a plastic cone and then apply it to create any beautiful design. Keep it as long as you can and allowed it to be dry for the darker color. When the henna is become dried then applies the lemon and sugar waters over this design and let it keep drying again for the shiny effect. Henna is an important part of Indian and Arabian marriages, especially for the brides. It’s also accepted as the favorable sign for any occasion.

You may use the henna stencils to create central theme for the attractive design. You may apply large sized stencil for the back and small stencil for the arms, shoulders and cuffs. You may also select the plastic reusable stencils. Arabic henna has the blackish red effect. Arabic henna design’s pattern can be large than the Indian henna designs. Indian designs are basically paisley while Arabian henna designs are floral and reflect Arabic body art.
